Matt,

I still remember the first couple days of school when I went to your room and we hung out. Didn’t really know anyone to hang out with and you were there for me – it was really awesome spending time with you and getting to know you.

How you carry yourself, your outlook on life and how you treat others inspired me the first time we started hanging out at Elon and still inspires me today.

Thinking about how I didn’t truly know who Jesus is before coming to Elon and how much I’ve grown in my faith makes me so happy about the community I have around me – and you are a huge reason for this.

I love that I can be myself around you and love how we’ve grown closer. I’m looking forward to being best friends with you for years and years to come.

Someone I can go to no matter what.
Someone I can laugh with, share my feelings with; and someone I can just spend time with.
