You struggle with aging, with the changes ahead.
You’ve never been good at handling changes you have little control over.
I want to remind you how much I love you. How much I cherish all the silly times we have. How much I don’t notice all the changes your noticing because I’m in love with you for what’s inside not what’s outside or anything else.
So today, as you drag your feet towards that birthday hour, remember that with every aged year, grey hair, ache, pain, wrinkle or ailment, I will always see you as the most handsome man I’ve ever laid eyes on and eternally be blessed to call you my husband!

So beautiful and heartfelt. What a wonderful walk to the celebration of another season in life. Yes, sometimes we ‘drag our feet’ as she says; but with love’s encouragement, we can begin turning our gaze to the pathway ahead.
Who is it who sets the standards of how we look? Our hearts and lives filled with memories and wisdom is what challenges that. We are the most attractive as we walk ahead and those virtues become even more alive. What a beautiful reminder of that !!
